saw my brother again today in the mortuary. the swelling has gone down but there is a massive bruise on his nose, cuts still all over his face and a big bruise on his forehead. they’d washed his hair again and he smelt of that horrible clinical smell that makes you feel sick. i told him how much of a great person he is and that i miss him so much and it’s so hard trying to be strong. i also reassured him that i would try and get him justice, even if it takes the rest of my life. he’s still so beautiful. a wonderful, tall, muscly young fellow who i know for a fact was the apple of many a lady’s eye. it breaks my heart looking at him lying so still, and with bruises all over his kind, handsome face.
